Mattoboard Joins The First Fund Portfolio

First Fund is pleased to announce Mattoboard as the latest entrant to its diverse portfolio.

Mattoboard is Canva for 3D design. Founded by CEO Guy Adam Ailion and CTO George Hart, it is rethinking 3D mood boards, helping interior designers design virtual sample boards online easily, while allowing endless experimentation.

Talking about the partnership, CEO Guy Adam Ailion remarked, “Mattoboard sees that the future of designing will be interacting with 3D content. Today, anyone can scan 3D objects from their iPhone. We are soon to become a 3D asset-rich world, in need of a design and curation tool like Mattoboard. We are so thrilled to be working with Sam and his First Fund team, who see the future as we do!”
“Mattoboard is a great example of a startup done right,” commented First Fund founder Samarth Chandola. “The product is being made in deep consultation with its target customers (interior designers), and that is showing given that the company is doubling its user base each month. In addition, this is an example of using software to disrupt a very large industry, and with very few competitors because of the niche nature of the industry. The Founders have, so far, done everything correctly and we’re excited to be in the foxhole with them.”
