First Fund Invests in Willow

First Fund is delighted to welcome Willow, and its co-founders, Logan Yergens, Mike Hibberd and Ray Johannsson, to its portfolio.

Willow is Canada's first real estate investing platform that makes it possible to not just buy fractions of property like stocks, but also trade them live on a secondary marketplace just like stocks. It lets users buy units of commercial properties, earn rental income and appreciation, and sell those units whenever they want.

Willow CEO Logan Yergens said, “Willow is thrilled to be joining the First Fund portfolio of companies and garnering the support of Sam and his team. Their experience scaling high-growth companies and the network they bring to the table will benefit Willow's mission to make real estate investment a reality for all Canadians.”
“Real estate affordability is an oft-discussed topic in Canada, and given that demand for real estate is going to continue to exceed supply for the next several years, partial or shared ownership and investment is only going to get more popular” said First Fund founder Samarth Chandola. “A newer generation of investors is used to sharing everything through their phones and computers, and only considers it natural to be able to do the same for real estate investment. Willow is making that happen.”
